January 13, 2026 Due to serious illness, Ron Jackson has had to step away from the office of President. Don Scott, the Vice-President, was unable to step up to the office of President. The officers reached out to Jim Leslie, the current Historian, to see if he would be willing to assume the duties of the President. Jim said he was willing to serve as president of our association if approved. Our By-Laws indicate that the appointment of the President to fill a vacancy must be voted on by the Board of Directors. That vacancy cannot be appointed. The Board of Directors, Herm Umholtz, John Kerins, and Van Morrison unanimously approved Jim Lesie as the new president. Jim assumed the responsibilities of the Association Presidency immediately. As the new President, Jim will appoint a new Historian. Jim has been brought up to speed on next year’s reunion and additional association matters.
